Gene Path Weekend Retreat Real People. Real Experiences. Real Connection.

For men living with Hemophilia B, gene therapy is not simply a medical option, it is a life-altering crossroads. It raises questions about identity, risk, hope, and the future. Gene Path Weekend Retreat was created because no one should walk that road alone.

What Is Gene Path Retreat? Gene Path is an immersive, peer-centered weekend experience designed exclusively for men ages 18 and over who are currently on gene therapy or actively considering it. Set in the quiet hills and open sky in Oklahoma's breathtaking Osage Hills, Gene Path brings together men who understand, because they are living it.

Over the course of the weekend, participants engage in:

  • Candid, facilitated conversations

  • Shared meals and informal dialogue

  • Small-group reflection

  • Time in nature for perspective and clarity

Here, you gain something no clinical brochure can provide: Unfiltered truth from people walking the same path.

The Experience Gene Path is built on trust, honesty, and lived experience. The setting allows space to slow down, breathe deeply, and think clearly.

Around campfires, on lakeside walks, and in small circles of conversation, men speak openly about:

  • The decision-making process

  • The emotional weight of change

  • What life is truly like on gene therapy

  • The unexpected realities, both challenges and breakthroughs

This is where questions are welcomed, especially the ones you have been hesitant to ask.

What You Will Find Here

  • Firsthand insight from men living on gene therapy every day

  • A pressure-free environment to ask real questions

  • Honest dialogue without judgment

  • Connection with others who understand your fears and your hopes

Community that extends beyond the weekend Gene Path Retreat exists to provide time, space, and brotherhood and to equip participants with emotional support, meaningful health literacy, and the confidence to navigate one of the most transformative decisions of their lives, on their own terms. Because this decision deserves more than information. It deserves understanding.

Open to men with Hemophilia B, ages 18 and over, who are currently on gene therapy or actively considering gene therapy.
