Support Network: Foro Latino de Hemofilia B

Foro Latino de Hemofilia B

Topic: Ice & Family Safety

Session Topic: Living in Uncertain Times: Supporting Ourselves, Our Families, and Our Community

Uncertainty can affect every part of our lives, especially when we are worried about the safety and well-being of the people we love. For many Latino families today, concerns about immigration enforcement, ICE activity, family separation, financial pressures, health, and rapidly changing events can create ongoing fear and anxiety. Constant news and social media exposure can add to that stress and leave families feeling as though they must always be prepared for what might happen next. These experiences fit directly into the original presentation's focus on how uncertainty challenges our need for predictability, order, and control.

This conversation will create space to talk openly about those fears while exploring practical ways to care for ourselves and our families during uncertain times. Participants will discuss focusing on what they can control, managing anxiety and overwhelming news, supporting children through difficult conversations, strengthening family and community support systems, and identifying resources that can help families feel more informed and prepared.

This series is designed for the Latino hemophilia B community, providing a dedicated space to connect, learn, and discuss the key topics that matter most to you. Each session will feature conversations with medical experts, patient advocates, and families affected by hemophilia B, offering valuable insights and firsthand experiences.

Join us to gain knowledge, ask important questions, and strengthen connections within the Latino hemophilia B community.

We are so excited to have you join us!

Each Foro Latino Rap Session will begin with a Conversation Guide who will help introduce the topic and share insights for approximately 30 minutes. The focus of the program is not a presentation, but a supportive conversation where participants can share experiences, ask questions, learn from one another, and build meaningful connections.
