Dr. Robert Francis Sidonio Jr, MD, MSc
Medical Director of the Hemophilia Unit at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia.
Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Sidonio’s research mainly focuses on areas that include Von Willebrand disease, Hemophilia A and B, bleeding phenotype, and low von Willebrand factor.
He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, ISTH, WFH and the VWD Connect Foundation. He is a medical advisor for Hemophilia Federation of America and Chair of the Women's Issues in Hemostasis and Thrombosis for ISTH.
He has published numerous papers and articles on topics such as rare bleeding disorders, adolescent girls and women with bleeding disorders, Von Willebrand disease, extravascular distribution of FIX and hemophilia A and inhibitors.
