Mental Health Action Day

Mental Health Action Day Workshop
Finding Balance in Stressful Times

A 90-minute live Zoom event
Presented by the Coalition for Hemophilia B

Join us for a powerful kickoff event on Mental Health Action Day designed especially for the hemophilia B community. In this experiential workshop, we’ll explore how nervous system regulation supports mental well-being and learn tools for managing stress and emotional overwhelm.

Together, we’ll practice breathing exercises, explore somatic grounding techniques, and discover simple mindfulness and herbal wellness tips to use in moments of dysregulation or anxiety.

This session is open to all and offers a trauma-informed, invitational approach—no prior experience needed. Leave feeling more connected to yourself, your body, and your community.

Speaker: Renk Koçtürk

Renk Koçtürk is a somatic healing practitioner, movement therapist, herbalist, and trauma-informed educator. Born in Istanbul and currently offering healing spaces across Los Angeles, Kauai, and Istanbul, Renk’s work centers on helping individuals reconnect with their bodies, release stored trauma, and rediscover a sense of joy and freedom through movement.

With a foundation in dance and deep training in culturally sensitive healing modalities—including Dance Therapy, Yoga Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Herbalism—Renk integrates these practices into a holistic, heart-centered approach. Her sessions are inclusive, body-positive, and grounded in the belief that movement is medicine, accessible to all.

Whether teaching in the Middle East or online with global communities, Renk holds space for people from all backgrounds to explore healing through embodied practice, rhythm, and the power of connection.
