Generation IX Project: 2025 Redwoods Leadership Program
WHAT IS THE GEN IX PROJECT?
If you are a young person living with hemophilia B, know that there are others like you, teens and young adults who will band together to learn how to do more, learn more, experience more, and be more than they thought possible.
The Coalition’s Generation IX Project is the only national program designed specifically for and by those living with hemophilia B. Gen IX is a leadership program offered by the Coalition for Hemophilia B and facilitated by GutMonkey, specifically designed for young adults in the Hemophilia B community (ages 18–35). The program combines experiential classroom sessions with adventure-based activities to explore leadership and community development.

Participants engage in a strengths-based approach to leadership, focusing on self-awareness, building positive relationships, and practicing relational transparency. Through reflection and essential questioning, they explore how they want to contribute to the broader hemophilia B community.
GutMonkey’s model encourages participants to identify and use their individual strengths to benefit the community, while also fostering collaboration and engagement at local chapter levels, within the Coalition for Hemophilia B, and in national advocacy and policy efforts.
