Our Scholarships

Dr. William N. Drohan Scholarship

For students attending vocational school, college, university, or graduate school, we offer a scholarship honoring the legacy of Dr. William N. Drohan, a visionary scientist and educator in molecular biology.

Applications are open from March 1 - July 15.

Nat Lathrop Music Scholarship

We are honored to present the Nat Lathrop Music Scholarship. This scholarship is for students who are pursuing an interest in music and appreciate the connection between music and mental health.

Let’s Play Nine Scholarship

For young people with hemophilia, ages 7-19, we offer a scholarship so they can explore golf as their sport of choice! This scholarship may be used toward golf lessons in your hometown and golf equipment/gear.

Additional Scholarships for the Hemophilia Community

Many organizations and businesses offer scholarships for the bleeding disorders community.
Each organization has its own eligibility criteria and deadline, so contact each source directly.

Brothers Healthcare Scholarship Brothers Healthcare donates two $1,000 scholarships each year to people with bleeding disorders. LINK

Beth Carew Memorial Scholarship Program The Colburn Keenan Foundation offers a yearly scholarship to undergraduate students with bleeding disorders. LINK

BioMatrix Memorial Scholarship Program Scholarships are available for individuals with hemophilia or VWD (and their immediate family members) and for those with hemophilia and an inhibitor. LINK

Eric Dostie Memorial College Scholarship This scholarship program for individuals with bleeding disorders awards ten students each awarded $1000. The program is funded by Nufactor Specialty Pharmacy. LINK

Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan Academic Scholarship HFM has two yearly scholarships of $2,500 that are awarded to those with bleeding disorders. Applicants must reside in the state of Michigan. LINK

Hemophilia of North Carolina Educational Scholarship Program This annual scholarship program is funded by Diplomat Specialty Infusion Group. Four scholarships are awarded each year to individuals with bleeding disorders. LINK

HFA Educational Scholarships The Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA) offers four scholarships of $2,000 to $4,000 to promising students with bleeding disorders. Education scholarships are awarded in the categories of parent/sibling/child and medical/healthcare services. LINK

Kevin Child Scholarship Program This scholarship program awards one $1,000 scholarship each year to an individual with hemophilia A or B. The program is run by the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF). LINK

Medexus B More Scholarship Full-time or part-time students of any age with hemophilia B, who are pursuing post-secondary education (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, trade schools, and certifications). LINK

#RAREis Scholarship Fund Applications for Fall 2021 tuition will open April 1 and close May 7. One-time grants of $5,000 are available for applicants of all ages and disease groups who are pursuing college, post-graduate degrees, trade school, or class certification courses. The scholarships are offered by the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases with support from Horizon Therapeutics plc. LINK

The Soozie Courter Hemophilia Scholarship Program To be eligible for this scholarship from Pfizer, students must have hemophilia A or B, must be a high school senior, have a GED, or be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or vocational school. LINK

Takeda Education Advantage GED Assistance Scholarship Program This program awards one-time grants to assist with expenses related to acquiring a GED certification for student with hemophilia A or B, including those with inhibitors (factor VII or IX deficiency) or von Willebrand disease. LINK
